Botanical Impressions: Make a Mug & Coaster | Saturday 28 November 2026, 11am–1.30pm

£55.00

A seasonal pottery workshop with Fireweed Pottery

Discover the textures and patterns of the botanical world in this hands-on pottery workshop at the Dorothy Fox Centre, Botanical Gardens.

Using leaves and botanical forms to create impressions in clay, you'll make your own hand-built ceramic mug and matching coaster. Experiment with natural textures, play with pattern and create something practical and personal to use at home.

No previous pottery experience is needed. I'll guide you through each step, from preparing the clay to shaping your mug and creating its botanical design.

Your workshop includes

  • 2.5 hours of guided, hands-on pottery making

  • Clay and all materials needed for your project

  • Your own hand-built mug and matching coaster

  • Drying, firing and glazing by Fireweed Pottery

  • A finished set to collect once the making and firing process is complete

When: Saturday 28 November 2026, 11am–1.30pm
Where: Dorothy Fox Centre, Botanical Gardens
Price: £55 per person

After the workshop

Your pieces will return with me to the studio to dry, be fired and glazed. I'll contact you when they're ready to collect, usually within a few weeks, depending on drying and kiln schedules.

Please note that pottery is a slow process and the finished pieces may vary slightly in colour, texture and final appearance. Botanical impressions are individual, making each piece unique.

Ready to make something by hand?

Book your place and spend a creative autumn morning exploring the possibilities of clay and botanical textures.
